Brooklyn the Musical

BKLYN The Musical is a story within a story. On the outside you have a troupe of street performers who are sharing a story from their lives, using it to help you see them as people too. Then there is the story they tell — the story of a young girl who comes to the U.S. to find the father she never knew. Together these stories create a show that is both touching and inspiring, drawing the audience into a live theater experience to remember.

Perfect Arrangement

It’s 1950, and new colors are being added to the Red Scare. Two U.S. State Department employees, Bob and Norma, have been tasked with identifying sexual deviants within their ranks. There’s just one problem: Both Bob and Norma are gay, and have married each other’s partners as a carefully constructed cover. Inspired by the true story of the earliest stirrings of the American gay rights movement, madcap classic sitcom-style laughs give way to provocative drama as two “All-American” couples are forced to stare down the closet door.

Hair

The American tribal love rock musical Hair celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. To an infectiously energetic rock beat, the show wows audiences with songs like "Aquarius," "Good Morning, Starshine," "Hair," "I Got Life" and "Let The Sun  Shine." Exploring ideas of identity, community, global responsibility and peace, Hair remains relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world.

Moonlight and Magnolias

The year is 1939 and legendary Hollywood producer David O. Selznick has a problem. He has just fired the director of Gone with the Wind, and the script needs to be rewritten for the umpteenth time. He needs a new director and a new writer - NOW. However, the director he wants, Victor Fleming, is working on The Wizard of Oz, and the writer he wants, Ben Hecht, has never read the novel. Selznick decides that the only way to get it all done is to lock the doors, close the shades, and - while on a diet of just bananas and peanuts - the three men labor over five days to fashion a screenplay that will become the blueprint for one of the most successful and beloved films of all time. Loosely based on a true story, it’s a hilarious homage to the men behind the American movie classic.

Singin' in the Rain*

Singin' in the Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline - the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren't always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.
