    Theatre Macon is a non-profit organization founded in 1986. Our theatre employs a full-time Artistic Director, as well as many contracted staff members. The theatre is also governed by a Board of Directors. For more information please click here.

  • 5. How many shows are in your season?
    Theatre Macon produces 9 productions annually: 4 Main Stage shows, 2 Youth Artists' Company shows, 2 Stage 2 Series shows, and 1 summer production.
  • 6. What about your season subscription packages and how do I purchase season tickets?
    Season subscriptions go on sale annually in the Spring for the season beginning in August. Season tickets may be purchased through the end of the run of the first show of the season. We have several subscription packages available and may be purchased via cash, check, debit cards, Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, or Discover. Season tickets may be purchased by mail, phone, walk-in, online, or prior to/during intermission of a performance.

  • 8. What about your Youth Artists' Company?
    The Theatre Macon Youth Artists' Company was established in 1988 to provide Middle Georgia youth with the opportunity to practice and grow their talents in theatre arts. The company produces two to three full-length productions each year which may include musicals, dramas, or comedies. Open auditions are held for all productions. Youth currently in grades 5-12 in a public, private, or homeschool are invited and encouraged to attend. Occasionally, we also offer theatre workshops specifically geared toward increasing the depth knowledge our youth artists have in theatre related fields.
  • 9. What are the theatre's box office hours?
    Box Office hours are Monday-Friday from 12:00pm - 4:00pm. Box Office will also be open one hour prior to curtain on performance days.
  • 10. How do I make a reservation?
    By phone (478.746.9485) By walk-in during posted Box Office hours By following the “BUY TICKETS” link in the left-hand sidebar. Payment must be made at the time of the reservation. Theatre Macon subscribers are required to make reservations, either by phone or online (using their unique PATRON ID).
  • 11. Where can I park when I attend Theatre Macon?
    A parking deck is located directly behind Theatre Macon with the entrance located on Poplar Street for $1.00/hour Monday-Sunday. The Douglas Theatre Parking Deck is Free after 7pm and on weekends. The entrance is located directly between the Douglas Theatre and the parking garage itself. Paid Street Parking is available daily until 8:00pm Monday-Saturday. Street Parking is free on Monday-Saturday after 8:00pm and on Sundays.

    Yes. There are many local restaurant options located in downtown Macon and are available for convenient pre-performance dining.
  • 13. Where are the Theatre Macon Education Studios?
    Theatre Macon Education Studios are located at 424 Cherry Street next to the Hummingbird.
